Customers and vehicles

Customers and vehicles (Clienti e veicoli in the interface) is the page where a company that sub-rents its vehicles assigns them to its customers. Each customer sees only the vehicles assigned to them, in the same Fleet Monitoring dashboard: position, trips, alarms and statistics of those vehicles, and nothing of the rest of the fleet.

Every vehicle has one owner at a time: your fleet or one of your customers.

How to open it​

On the fleet home, open the Gestione (management) menu and click Clienti e veicoli.

The page is for the administrators of the fleet: users of your customers do not see it. It is available when sub-rental or Your Mobile App is active for your company. Otherwise the page says that sub-rental is not active: contact us to enable it.

Interface language

The interface is in Italian. In this guide, labels are written as they appear on screen, followed by their English meaning in parentheses.

Customers​

The column on the left lists:

  • your fleet, with your company name, Flotta non assegnata (unassigned fleet) and the number of vehicles that are not assigned to anyone;
  • each customer, with the number of vehicles assigned to them and the Accesso (access) switch.

Click a card to show only its vehicles in the table. Click the fleet card again, or choose Tutti i veicoli (all vehicles), to see them all.

Vehicles​

The table shows Veicolo (plate and model), Dispositivo (the IMEI and the model of the tracker) and Assegnato a (assigned to).

  • Search by plate, model, IMEI or customer (Targa, modello, IMEI o cliente).
  • Filter with the menu next to the search: Tutti i veicoli, Non assegnati (not assigned) or a single customer, each with its count.
  • Aggiorna (refresh) reloads customers and vehicles.

Gateways, which only relay the data of other devices, are not vehicles and are not listed.

Assigning vehicles to a customer​

  1. Tick the vehicles in the table, or the box in the header to tick all the vehicles shown. A bar shows how many are selected.
  2. In Assegna a… (assign to) choose the customer.
  3. Click Assegna (assign) and confirm.

The confirmation says how many vehicles move to the customer, and warns if some of them are now assigned to other customers, who will no longer see them. The new customer sees position, trips, alarms and history of the vehicles, including the history before the assignment.

Annulla selezione (clear selection) unticks all the vehicles.

Bringing vehicles back to the fleet​

Tick the vehicles and click Riporta in flotta (bring back to the fleet), then confirm. The vehicles go back to your company, and the customers they were assigned to no longer see them.

Access to the app​

The Accesso switch on each customer card is the access to the app of Your Mobile App:

  • it is on for the customers created in Your Mobile App whose access is active, and you can switch it off and on from here;
  • it is off and cannot be used for the other customers;
  • if Your Mobile App is not active for your company, clicking it explains how to activate it.

The switch does not change which vehicles the customer sees: that depends only on the assignment.
